My Top Design Trends for 2017

Ahhh.... Design Trends! One of my favourite things about being an Interior Designer. I study trends pretty much all the time and I see so many new trends emerging and I am always so excited to try an implement them into one of our new projects.

I know this post is a little bit late to the game... I've had it sat in my drafts for a while now and I just keep tinkering with it. But here it is, my top Interior Design trends for 2017!

Greenery (or just Green)

Late last year, Pantone released their Colour of the Year, Greenery. I've noticed that this colour hasn't been as well received as Pantone probably would have anticipated. It's caused a little bit of controversy and debate in our studio. We all have mixed feelings on the shade, it's not really what I had in mind when I heard that green would be the colour of the year. Muted and greyed tones are EVERYWHERE at the moment and that's what I thought would sway the colour choice this year. But then again, maybe they wanted to shake things up a bit..?

tropical trend

Think Palm Springs, the 1950s, low rise residential architecture, pastel coloured Mustangs sitting pretty on the drive and the straight roads decorated with the tallest palm trees. That's the exact thought I have when I see the palm leaf print thats circulating the fashion and interior design world right now.

It's so marbalous darling!

Marble is a massive trend this year and it's going nowhere fast! It's one of the easiest trends to pull off at the moment, it looks great in every room and it is so cheap to pull off. This trend is such a versatile trend and it compliments so many of the other gorgeous trends such as the Palm Leaf Print and Rose Gold accessories. Mix and match elements and textures to create a fashionable, Pinterest worthy interior everyone will want to copy.

Have you used the marble trend to it's full potential? Let me know in the comments below so I can see!
Much love

Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Review

Before I get into this review, I just have to say how excited I was that Charlotte Tilbury commented on my Instagram photo!!!!!! I know she comments on a few girls photos asking to use their images but I literally screamed when I got the notification. I was so excited, it absolutely made my entire day!

Anywaysssss...

Charlotte Tilbury is renowned for high quality, beautifully packaged beauty products which are highly regarded by makeup artists & her customers. Stunning Art Deco packaging makes her brand stand out from the rest & I always find myself drawn to her beauty counter like a magnet. Everything about her brand is glam, glitzy & it's just fab!

Morphe Eyeshadow Palette Review

Morphe eyeshadow palettes have become a staple in my makeup bag as of late. I know I'm a bit late to the party with reviewing these eyeshadows but I just have to talk about them because I'm in love.

For as long as I can remember, I have always used MAC products. Nearly my entire makeup bag/drawer was just purely MAC makeup. & I had endless amounts of their eyeshadows & I would swear by them. I honestly never thought I would find shadows that are better than MAC, but I never bought anything other than them, so I was none the wiser.
